Author Biography

Geeta Anand Geeta Anand is the author of The Cure: How a Father Raised $100 Million—and Bucked the Medical Establishment—in a Quest to Save his Children. The movie Extraordinary Measures is based on the book, and stars Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser. Geeta is currently employed as a senior writer for the Wall Street Journal. She wrote two of the stories on corporate corruption that won the newspaper a Pulitzer Prize in 2002, and she received the top business reporting honor, the Gerald Loeb award, in 2006. Formerly a political reporter for the Boston Globe, she now specializes in writing about healthcare, the environment and education in India. She lives in Mumbai with her husband and two young daughters.
